PRO TECT FOR WINDOWS 45

FACT SHEET

PRO TECT for WINDOWS 45: a 2-mil poly-film with a water based adhesive pre-applied on one side so that Pro Tect stays in place while you work and comes off quick and easy when the job is done. No more tape to scrap and peel, no more razor blades scraping to clean off masking, mortar, paint and grime.

Pro Tect is safe to use on glass, lexion, polyglass, aluminum, painted steel, high-gloss enamel and vinyl window frames. Varnishes, shellac, and polyurethane finishes won’t be harmed by Pro Tect for Windows.

Pro Tect for Windows is a temporary protectant, guaranteed not to leave any adhesive residue for up to 45-days when used according to manufacturer’s recommendations.

Clear, self-adhering PRO TECT poly-films are temporary protectants. Helps prevent damage from new construction, remodeling, painting, maintenance, and repairs. Helps prevent damage from dirt, paint spills, taping compound, solvent cleaners, muriatic acid, and other common enemies of finished surfaces. Engineered especially for the Builder, Contractor, and Remodeler.

As with any masking material, if the surface it is applied to is loose, the loose material will stick to Pro Tect and be pulled away when Pro Tect is removed. Otherwise, Pro Tect won’t hurt your finishes.

A Word About Adhesive Transfer:

Adhesive transfer can be induced by three things.

  1. Materials left in place beyond the stipulated 45-days.

  2. Excessive exposure to sunlight or high temperatures (150F)

  3. Exposure to moisture: do not install on wet/damp surfaces.

Should adhesive transfer occur, the adhesive can be removed by cleaning with paint-oil-grease remover, citrus-based cleaners, WD-40 and other similar cleaners. Be certain to follow the cleaner manufacturer’s directions, and test the cleaner to be certain it won’t harm the finishes.

LIMITED WARRENTY

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION AND USE

  1. Test your finished surfaces to determine suitability of application of PRO TECT products. Apply a sample in a remote location for testing.

  2. Do not install self-adhering poly-films over damp/wet surfaces. Adhesive will transfer onto damp/wet surfaces or not adhere at all.

  3. Do not use PRO TECT without certifying it is firmly adhering to the surface; the surface should be dry and dirt free. PRO TECT should be checked frequently to be certain installation conditions have not changed.

  4. Excessive traffic and exposure to sunlight or intense heat will shorten the useable life of PRO TECT. Such conditions may accelerate adhesive transfer.

  5. 45-days is the maximum period for installation, under proper conditions.

LIMITED WARRANTY: THERE IS NO WARRANTY STATED, EXPRESSED, OR IMPLIED THAN STATED HEREIN; THE SOLE REMEDY FOR ALL APPROVED CLAIMS SHALL BE REPLACEMENT OF THE PURCHASED MATERIALS OF REFUND OF THE FULL PURCHASE PRICE. PRO TECT SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR DAMAGES; CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR SPECIAL.
