FINISHED FLOOR GUARD
Protective, re-usable, non-woven with slip-resistant tacky rear side. Padded for protection against scratches and dents. May be used on any surface.
Place plastic-firm (glossy-side) upwards to protect against penetration by paints and liquids; Do not pull off the plastic film!
Overlap the seams by 2”- 4”. Tape the seams, especially in high traffic areas or on stairs, to avoid the risk of tripping.
- On full-surface-glue-down installations, the glue must be completely dry and cured. Follow glue manufacturers guidelines on chosen glue of complete curing times.
- New finishes on hardwood floors must be completely dry and cured. Follow finish manufacturers guidelines on chosen finish for complete curing times.
- Surface must be totally clean and dry before rolling out Finish Floor Guard. Do not allow any moisture to be trapped underneath. Moisture trapped under Finish Floor Guard will not evaporate and may cause stains.
- Never use on newly laid porous stone or tile floors. Rising moisture could cause stains.
- Covering up wood flooring with solid sheet goods, such as Masonite or plywood, while at the same time running the in-floor radiant heat can trap the heat and overheat or “cook” wood flooring resulting in damage to the wood. Do not engage the in-floor radiant heat when wood flooring is covered with sheet goods.
- Finish Floor Guard can be used with in-floor radiant heat (with no additional sheet goods applied). The National Wood Flooring Association guidelines for maximum wood floor surface temperatures (85f) should never be exceeded.
- There could be a shading difference caused by the sun on new floors in areas where the floor is covered and areas where it is not covered. To avoid these shadows, cover the floor area completely.
PRO TECT RUNNER - FACT SHEET
PRO TECT RUNNER: an 80-mil+ polypropylene fiber web carpet which has a heat fused VOC non-porous backing. This neutral colored Topaz Brown carpet runner is flexible, resilient, absorbent, and resists UV sun rays making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. With a slip-resistant non-porous VOC backing it is highly resistant to punctures and tears and helps keep moisture from soaking through to spoil your floor surface.
What makes it stay in place is the friction created when stepping on the Runner. The soft VOC bottom clings to the floor surface when weighted and then releases when the weight is removed. When not weighted the runner is light and stays in place without using adhesives or tapes.
PRO TECT RUNNER is a temporary, reusable protector, guaranteed not to leave any residue when used according to manufacturer’s recommendations and is suitable for installation on all commercial and industrial grade hard surface floor coverings. DO NOT INSTALL ON CARPETS, DO NOT FASTEN OR TAPE TO HARD SURFACE MATERIALS such as hardwood floors, ceramic tile and marbles. Fastening PRO TECT RUNNER in place may cause a vapor or moisture block that could damage the floor finish.
A Word About Mis-Using PRO TECT RUNNER:
Like any product PRO TECT RUNNER can be misused. To insure the highest satisfaction when using this product please observe or take note of the following facts.
1.PRO TECT RUNNER can be applied to any smooth hard surfaced floor as soon as the floor is ready to walk on.
2.New floor finishes need to “cure” and are not considered “cured” when dry to the touch.
3.The Runner is slip-resistant on a clean smooth floor. If dust or other fine particles accumulate under the Runner it will lose its slip resistant properties. Cleaning the VOC under surface of the runner can restore its slip-resistance property.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION AND USE
1.Test your hard surface floors to determine suitability. Apply a sample in a remote location for testing.
2.Do not install PRO TECT RUNNER over carpet. The VOC surface does not cling to carpeted surfaces.
3.Do not traffic on PRO TECT without certifying it is firmly adhering to the hard surface floor and is wrinkle free and suitable for walking on. PRO TECT should be checked frequently to be certain installation conditions have not changed.

Poly-Craft Mask
Poly Craft Mask is the perfect inexpensive solution for Pro Tecting your hard surface finishes. This waterproof product is absolutely tear resistant and won’t allow spills to penetrate. When rosin paper just won’t do the job and you need better protection, Poly Craft Mask is a must.
Poly Craft Mask is a two-ply product that includes a fiberglass meshing between a 25 pound craft paper and polyethylene sheet. The layer of poly won’t allow spills to soak through while the craft paper provides a soft cushion that won’t scratch the surface you are protecting. The fiberglass meshing prevents the product from tearing which means you don’t have to constantly replace the product yet it can be cut with a knife for easy installation.
Poly Craft Mask protects can be used on: hardwood floors, tile, marble, countertops, vinyl and any hard surface you need to Pro Tect.
